Website Usage

The use of my website is generally possible without providing any personal data. As far as you as a user specify personal data (eg name, address or e-mail addresses) (which is currently only possible by sending an e-mail to me), this is always done on a voluntary basis.

(No) cookies and trackers

This website does not use cookies or other tracking techniques that could be used to analyze individual user behavior.

Comments and sent files

The name (pseudonym or real name) and link as well as the date and time of the comment given by you in a comment form will be published together with the respective comment. Other data (such as your e-mail address) will not be disclosed to third parties or published on the website without your explicit consent.

Furthermore, I may publish files that you send me for this purpose, on this website, with a copyright and license notice.

Data processing is based on your consent (Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

Note that data transmission over the Internet (for example, when communicating via e-mail) may have security vulnerabilities. A complete protection of the data from being accessed by third parties is not possible.

Data processing to communicate with you

When you contact me, I will process your communication data (email address, time and content of the message) to process your request. You can also contact me using a nick name. Personal data that you provide will only be processed for the purpose for which you provided us with the data.

Data processing is based on your consent (Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

Danger prevention

When accessing this website, usage data are transmitted through your internet browser to the server hosting the website and automatically examined for attacks by software. Suspicious traffic patterns are stored in log files for security. The data records stored therein contain e.g. the following data: date and time of retrieval, name of the accessed page, IP address, the amount of data transferred, as well as product and version information of the browser used.

Accesses with inconspicuous usage patterns are not logged in the context of security. The IP addresses of users will be deleted after the end of use.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f and c GDPR, which allow data to be processed in order to safeguard the legitimate interests of the controller, provided the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not prevail, and allow to fulfill the legal obligation to report attacks on the IT infrastructure.

If necessary, I process your data to fulfill legal obligations (for example, commercial and taxation-related retention and proof obligations) on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. c GDPR.

Categories of recipients of personal data

I will only share your personal information with third parties if this is necessary for the purpose of processing your request (eg transfer of name, contact details, uploading the data to the web server so that it can be displayed on the website) or if you have granted consent, or if permission to disclose is granted on a legal basis. Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a, b or c GDPR. Data transfer takes place only to the extent that the data is necessary to process your request.

Service providers who assist me in providing my services to you may be IT service providers, in particular service providers for software and hardware maintenance, hosting providers, e-mail service providers and (private) persons whom I contact to fulfill your request.

These partners undertake to comply with data protection regulations. They are not allowed to use the data for any purpose other than to fulfill the contract. This obligation does not cease with the termination of the respective contract.

Duration of data storage

I only save your data for as long as necessary to fulfill the above mentioned purposes, unless temporary storage is still necessary. For some data, the statutory proof and retention obligations may have to be observed. The duration of the storage period can be up to ten years.

In addition, I store your data for the period in which claims can be asserted against me (statutory limitation periods of three to thirty years).

Data security

You have the option to send PGP-encrypted emails to me. My public key available for download in the Contact section. Access to my website is encrypted via SSL. However, your IP address will always be transmitted unencrypted 1.

I secure my website and other systems against loss and destruction, and the data against access, modification or distribution by unauthorized persons through appropriate technical and organizational measures.
