March Calendar

The image „Inkscape Rocks!“ shows a glamorous, rock-music-themed, steampunk-y variation of the Inkscape logo, with a guitar-playing robot, an organ, speakers, levers, drums, amplifiers, pipes and many more musical and technical insignia - as well as a disco ball! Of course, the „20“, for Inkscape’s 20th anniversary, can’t be missing from the artwork, either!

This piece, which would have delighted John Travolta just as much as Jules Vernes and the Inkscape community, has been submitted by m1981 (License: CC-By-SA 4.0) for the About Screen Contest for Inkscape 1.3. The contest’s topic was the 20th anniversary of the Inkscape project in November 2023. For those interested in the process of creating such an image, or just preferring monochrome, there is a black-and-white version, which precedes the colorful version used for the calendar, too.
